What is Lamprobe?

The Lamprobe is a safe and effective way to quickly treat skin tags, fibromas, sebaceous hyperplasia, and other small skin irregularities such as clogged pores, milia and keratosis.

 

Technology behind Lamprobe?

The Lamprobe uses a high frequency and Radiofrequency current delivered through a hand-piece with a precise tip. Exceptional care is taken to ensure a good cosmetic result to the treatment area with no major irritation. 

 

How does Lamprobe skin tag removal feel?

Treatment is usually tolerated with little to no discomfort. Topical numbing cream is available if requested ahead of service. The treatment is described as a warm pinching sensation, but the treatment is very quick, often taking seconds to fully treat each area.

 

How long is treatment?

Treatment time depends on the number of irregularities being treated. One lesion can be done in as little as 10 minutes. Treating each lesion is very quick and most of the appointment is usually skin prep and post treatment care.

 

How does the skin look after the process?

After treatment, the area at the base of the skin tag will form a small crust which will be left to heal naturally. This can take anywhere from 3 to 14 days. For some vascular areas, the skin is improved immediately or may turn dark and then even out in color in a few days after service. 

 

What are the aftercare instructions for skin tag removal?

After your treatment you will be instructed to leave the area to naturally heal. You will be advised not to pick any areas where you have had skin tags or fibromas removed. You will also be advised that you do not submerge the treatment area in water until it is fully healed to avoid infection or dislodging the crust prematurely. You can shower as usual after 24 – 48 hours. You will also be asked to avoid strong perfumed products, make up, and deodorants in the area for 48 hours. And, of course, avoid UV exposure in the area for at least 4 weeks while adding on the application of a suitable sunscreen. 

 

How many sessions will I need?

Most lesions and irregularities can be treated in one appointment. During your consultation you will be given a more accurate assessment.
